Good Morning! Lesson 7 for October 15th is “Here Comes the Groom” with Scripture reference from Song OF Solomon 3:6-11.
I have selected verses for the pictures at the top of the page from “The Bible Promise Book” under the heading “God’s Faithfulness” this week
Today’s Bible Reading is – 1 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. Psalms 95:1-6 (KJV)
I selected King James Version today instead of NLT because it is a psalm and as Song of Solomon is Poetic Scripture so are the Psalms and King James English has a Poetic flow that the other versions lack. Of all the books of the Bible that have inspired my songwriting, Psalms is the one you will catch the most Scripture reference from: there are a few that are Word for Word Psalms to music. This one gives the idea in the first verse of God being our Rock that I wrote “Rock Steady” from which I have been told is to rock and roll-y for Church but it praises the stability and unshakeable position of making a stand in the love of Christ and the authority of God. Read this Psalm and soak up the idea that everything we could face is a small thing to God because He made it all. All we see came to be, as we read in Genesis Chapter 1, at the command of God’s voice: look at your biggest obstacle today and know “It ain’t nothin’ but a Thang!” but your God is Almighty God and bigger than any problem you can have. You want to see the devil scared to death of Monday? Start Praising God today! I woke up as usual telling God “I Don’t Want it… It’s a MONDAY! I want to go back to Sleep and maybe it’ll go away!” But I got up and got into God’s Word and the Sunday School lesson and drank some coffee and the “Worst day of the Week” is now an awesome day because I have an Awesome God that goes with me through things I don’t want to do and shows me they are necessary and good and even fun: the outlook of your day is in who you will spend it with and I choose to spend it with God. Choose to have a good day with God and praise Him in it!
Good Day and Godspeed!
