Good Morning!
Lesson 13 for February 25th is “Don’t Miss the Bus!” with Scripture Text from Revelation 22:12-21
Today’s Bible Reading is –
12 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. Revelation 22:12 (NLT)
Yesterday Brother Robbie was preaching on Jesus Love being “Displayed” in us and he spoke of Judas Iscariot and how all the disciples thought Judas loved Jesus but Jesus knew better. At the very moment Brother Robbie was stating that fact he was looking directly at me and it instantly caused me to question my love for Christ… which is not only a good thing but once you question and then answer your heart with all the difference Jesus has made in your life because He loves you and you realize how much you love Him because of what He has done, you can truly know peace. Brother Robbie was using John’s account of the last supper and Peter ask John to ask Jesus who the one that would betray Him was and Jesus explained it would be the one whom He gave the sop of bread dipped in wine to after He dipped it: and He gave it to Judas. In another account each disciple was questioning “Lord, is it I” and when Judas asked as the others did, Jesus answered the same way He answered Pilate when he was questioning Jesus: “As you have said.” The others were genuinely worried if they would do something to betray Jesus: but Judas knew the answer of his question before he asked: but it must have been a shock for an unbeliever to know that Jesus knew what was in his heart. I questioned my love for Jesus yesterday because I know if we loved Jesus as we should at all times we would never commit another sin. If we gave today’s reading the proper perspective in our daily lives; many of the things that consume our time and fill our days wouldn’t even be a thing we thought about: and no one would pass through our space without hearing about Jesus. When we sin we are focusing on the offensive thing with desire that was taken off of Jesus who actually fulfills our true needs and righteous desires. When we throw fits about all we have to get done in a day we are ignoring the idea that Jesus is always with us through His Holy Spirit and will soak all of the days things with His Joy and will instruct us on which of those things shouldn’t be a part of this day: and to be assuredly saved by His marvelous grace and pass by someone that needs Him desperately has to grieve His Spirit… “THEY NEED TO KNOW ME!” can you hear Jesus pleading with you to share His love with them? If we view today’s reading with proper perspective it should be an irreconcilable paradox to us: we should Shout for Joy… and then look at all those around us still condemned and wail in uncontrollable grief. Shouldn’t we be praying for The Holy Spirit to –
“Lead us to some soul today, O teach us LORD just what to say: friends of mine are lost in sin and cannot find their way. Few there are who seem to care, and few there are who pray; melt my heart and fill my life, give me one soul today?”
Bathe today in prayer and wash out all the junk that doesn’t need to be taking up space in your life: wouldn’t it be a shame to fill Faith’s place with fears of this world? Jesus is coming again like He said: your life will show what you believe.
Good Day and GO WITH GOD!
